CTEC Website Redesign
Problem
The Communication Technology (CTEC) program website lacked clarity, cohesive messaging, and a clear entry point for prospective students and stakeholders. Key pages served different audiences but were visually inconsistent, difficult to navigate, and not optimized for storytelling or conversion.
Approach
As part of a cross-functional team, I served as a UX Designer, collaborating with web content specialists, SEO analysts, graphic designers, video producers, and UX writers. I focused on user research, content strategy, and wireframing to ensure the redesigned pages aligned with user intent and institutional goals.
Working in Figma, we applied user-centered design principles, accessibility considerations, and iterative feedback cycles to refine structure, hierarchy, and flow across pages.
Solution
I led the redesign of the CTEC Major Page, reorganizing content to prioritize prospective student needs and improve information hierarchy. I also designed a new standalone CTEC Landing Page to function as a centralized entry point, balancing storytelling with clear pathways to explore the program further.
Additionally, I contributed to messaging alignment for the Giving / Scholarship Page, ensuring consistency across audience touchpoints and reinforcing the program’s value proposition.
Impact
Improved clarity and navigation across key academic web pages
Created a cohesive visual and structural system across multiple page types
Strengthened messaging alignment for prospective students and donors
Delivered a scalable page framework adaptable to future content updates
