CTEC Website Redesign Project

The project involved iterative planning, user-centered wireframing, accessibility consideration, and design collaboration via Figma. View the full design file above.

Project Overview

As part of a cross-functional team in my Communication Technology program, I contributed to a semester-long redesign of the University’s Communication Technology (CTEC) web presence. This collaborative project aimed to improve clarity, usability, and strategic messaging across three key web pages: the Giving/Scholarship Page, the CTEC Major Page, and a new standalone CTEC Landing Page.

Our team included web content specialists, SEO analysts, graphic designers, video producers, and UX writers. I served as a UX Designer, focusing on user research, content strategy, and wireframing. My primary responsibilities included:

  • Redesigning the CTEC Major Page to improve information hierarchy, align with prospective student needs, and modernize visual presentation.

  • Creating a new branded CTEC Landing Page that could function as an engaging gateway into the program, optimized for both storytelling and conversion.

  • Contributing to messaging strategy for the Giving/Scholarship page (not pictured), ensuring alignment across all pages and audience touchpoints.

College Organization Brand Revamp

As a student at UTA and an active member in the African Student Organization (ASO), I combined my design, development, and marketing expertise to elevate the organization’s presence.

For my "Web Communication Design and Development" course, I designed and built a functional website for ASO.

The site served as a hub for students to sign up for membership, stay informed and purchase apparel, integrating design and user-friendly functionality.

Development

I created a new, classic logo for ASO and used it to design apparel for the organization, blending cultural pride with academic aesthetics.

Design

I directed and shot a dynamic photoshoot for the apparel and launched a social media campaign, which significantly boosted engagement and drove sales.

Marketing

This project exemplifies how I use creativity and strategy to achieve tangible results and demonstrates my ability to manage end-to-end projects that resonate with diverse audiences.

Grand Prairie Animal Services Adoption Center

The purpose of this project is to demonstrate my understanding of developing dynamic Web site communication based on user-centered design principles. I used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side scripting technologies to showcase my design capability in terms of functionality, usability, management efficiency, and aesthetic appeal.
