Org Digital Platform & Merch Campaign

Case Study

Problem

The African Student Organization (ASO) lacked a centralized digital presence to support membership engagement, communication, and fundraising. Existing efforts were fragmented, limiting visibility, participation, and the organization’s ability to scale initiatives.

Approach

I approached the project as a full lifecycle digital and operations initiative, combining platform design, branding, and growth strategy. Acting as designer, developer, and marketer, I focused on building systems that could support both community engagement and revenue generation.

The goal was to create a cohesive digital ecosystem that aligned identity, functionality, and outreach.

Solution

I designed and developed a functional website that served as a central hub for ASO members, enabling students to sign up, stay informed, and purchase branded apparel. I implemented user-friendly navigation and streamlined flows to support accessibility and engagement.

In parallel, I created a new logo and apparel designs, directed and photographed a branded photoshoot, and launched a coordinated social media campaign to promote the merchandise and organization. The campaign connected visual storytelling with clear calls to action, driving traffic and conversions through the site.

Impact

  • Centralized membership signup and communication into a single platform

  • Enabled e-commerce functionality to support fundraising through apparel sales

  • Increased engagement and visibility through coordinated digital campaigns

  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership across strategy, execution, and delivery
